Since its founding in 1995, the CDC of Toulouse has created a roster of missions which strive to promote all forms of dance creation. This flexible framework has allowed the CDC to tailor its programs based on the specific needs of the Toulouse / Midi-Pyrénées area for both artists and audiences. The CDC’s current program was shaped by the realization that it needed to cater a wider net in terms of dance culture and to stay attuned to aesthetic renewal. Embodied by its unwavering support of the choreographic act in all its forms, the CDC Toulouse’s program has made it an essential venue on a local and European level, and has inspired a model that has since been adopted by its eleven sister organizations in France.
