After visual arts training and a career dancing for various companies, Mickaël Phelippeau completed the ex.e.r.ce training program at the Centre chorégraphique national de Montpellier. He has worked with numerous choreographers including Mathilde Monnier, Alain Buffard and Daniel Larrieu. He also collaborates in various capacities with other choreographers, writers such as Édouard Levé, artists such as Laurent Goldring, and singers such as Barbara Carlotti. From 2001 to 2008, he worked at the Clubdes5, a collective of dancer-performers. He joined one of its members, Maud Le Pladec, to choreograph the pieces Fidelinka-extension and Fidelinka. Since 2003, he has focused his research on the bi-portrait approach. He has created several dance pieces and numerous other ephemeral projects and/or events. Since 2010, he has been artistic director of the event À domicile, in Guissény in Brittany.
